Welcome to La Chabanaise in Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne, a rural paradise in the Corrèze department of France. As the name implies, we’re in the Dordogne valley – but a part that’s still unspoilt and uncrowded, with beautiful countryside, stunning views and the very best air quality in France. Within easy reach of many largely undiscovered tourist attractions, as well as those better known, the area is perfect for those looking for a holiday in natural surroundings, yet with plenty of activities on offer for all the family, particularly if you love the outdoors.
We offer two 3-bedroom gîtes, each sleeping six people, in a renovated farmhouse nestled amongst five hectares of beautiful meadows and woodland. We also offer a smaller 1 bedroom gîte, sleeping two, which is a traditional oak frame building which was formerley a drying place for walnuts. The gîtes are fully-furnished and offer all modern comforts for your stay. The renovations have been carried out tastefully to high standards, and includes many environmentally friendly measures.
Come and spend some time living amongst nature in our unspoilt private paradise, yet just a kilometre from the medieval town of Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne.
La Chabanaise is a former farm with five hectares of land, tucked into a small valley above the medieval village of Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne. The land is home to three properties: a converted barn where we live; a recently-renovated character farmhouse which has become 'Les Loriots' and 'Les Hirondelles', and a smaller converted oak framed barn called 'Le Séchoir'. Home to a wide variety of flora and fauna, our land is a peaceful haven in which to relax. It is also a wonderful base for those wishing to explore the beautiful surrounding area with its wide open spaces and clean air. Here you are spoilt for choice - there are medieval villages, stunning views, outdoor activities for all the family, archaeological treasures, parks, gardens...the list is endless.
